Gamma Radiation

Gamma radiation — also known as gamma rays — is a form of electromagnetic radiation with extremely high frequency. It is highly penetrative and delivered at low dose rates, effectively destroying all living cells, including bacteria and microorganisms, throughout both the product and its packaging. Quantum Tattoo Ink partners with a leading third-party sterilisation company serving the medical and pharmaceutical industries. They use state-of-the-art, high-precision gamma irradiators to ensure each batch is thoroughly sterilised.


After every irradiation process, Quantum receives an official Certificate of Sterilisation confirming the success of the treatment. Each certificate includes a batch or lot number, which corresponds to the number printed on every bottle of Quantum Tattoo Ink.
