About
What are Quantum Tattoo Inks made of?
Quantum Tattoo Inks are made from the highest-quality, vegan, and cruelty-free ingredients — with full transparency:
- Organic Pigments: Natural, earth-sourced pigments (never animal-derived).
- Kosher Vegetable Glycerin: Vegan, plant-based, and acts as a lubricant and humectant.
- Ethyl Alcohol: Provides antiseptic and antibacterial protection.
- Distilled Water: Purified and mineral-free.
- Eucalyptus Leaf Extract: Natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory
- Thymol (Thyme): Antibacterial and antifungal properties.
- Menthol (Mint): Adds fragrance and mild soothing effects.
What is the pigment concentration?
Most Quantum inks contain around 60% pigment, compared to many other brands at 50% or less — giving brighter, more vibrant colour and longer-lasting results.
What’s the best black ink?
It depends on your style — here are our key black inks and pigment loads:
- Assphalt: 55%
- Bitchin Black: 50%
- Black Dynomite: 60%
- Lining Black: 15%
- Sculpting Black: 60%
Are Quantum Tattoo Inks vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes — always have been. No animal products, no animal testing, and fully vegan-certified.
Are Quantum inks safe and compliant?
Yes. All inks are UK-compliant and meet UK and global safety standards. Every batch is lab-tested and gamma-sanitised for quality and safety.
Products & Use
How can I dilute Quantum inks?
Use only our Holy Water Mixing Solutions:
- Colour Solution – for colour inks.
- Shading Solution – for black inks.
These maintain pigment strength and consistency. Other products are not recommended.
Do you sell aftercare products?
Yes — Quantum Aftercare helps heal fresh tattoos and doubles as a moisturiser.
It’s made from organic ingredients like olive oil, rose hips, calendula, cocoa butter, chamomile, and rosemary for soothing, healing, and antiseptic benefits.
What sizes are available?
Most inks come in 30ml bottles.
Selected shades are also available in 20ml, 120ml, and 240ml sizes (e.g. Barry White, Bitchin Black).
How do you guarantee safety?
All pigments are thoroughly tested by experienced tattoo artists before release, ensuring no irritation or quality issues. Every batch is gamma-sanitised to remove bacteria and microorganisms.
Performance & Results
Do vegan inks fade faster or remove easier?
No — Quantum’s vegan inks last just as long as traditional inks. Longevity depends on aftercare and sun protection, not ingredients.
Is vegan ink better for skin?
Yes. Quantum’s organic, vegan formula avoids artificial chemicals and preservatives, making it gentler for sensitive skin.
Are vegan inks more expensive?
Not necessarily — Quantum inks are competitively priced with other premium brands. You can save by buying colour sets instead of individual bottles.
Can I make metallic tattoos?
There’s no true metallic ink on the market, but skilled artists can recreate metallic effects using Quantum’s colour range.
Can I mix my own grey wash?
Yes — use Holy Water Shading Solution for dilution.
Or use our pre-made Quantum Gray Wash range for consistent shades.
What makes Quantum Gray Wash special?
Pre-formulated for detail and smooth gradient tones.
Our UK-compliant range includes:
- Quantum Gray Wash 1–3 (Light–Dark)
- Revenge of the Sith Gray Wash 1–4 (Ultra Light–Dark)
